THE HAPPENING
What if “it” happened? How would we live? How would our world be different? Are we ready?

We all hope that God is on “our side.” The problem is God is on no one’s side. It is not that He’s against your side, but He has His own side. That’s a good thing though because He invites us to be with Him on His side. Pastor Rick talks about getting on God’s side and shouting your wall down.
There is a crisis in American Culture that seeps and saturates the American family. This crisis is so severe that without a direct and an intentional reversal of ideology and philosophical change, the family as God knows it will cease to exist. Never before have we had such a dearth and malaises of men who abandon their posts surrendering their leadership calling. Pastor Rick speaks today about Leadership for the People of Promise..
The Scottish Preacher and Archbishop of Glasgow, Robert Leighton, once remarked that “Adversity is the diamond dust with which heaven polishes its jewels.” Four men in the Bible faced great adversity and all responded by “renting his robe.” Pastor Wade speaks today on “what it means to rent a robe” from Exodus 28:32.
For those who follow Christ, God has made certain and exact promises. He promised that no temptation will overtake us. He promised that we will overcome the enemy. He promised that our prayers will be heard and answered. Although we have the promises, in reality few live in that fulfillment. Pastor Rick begins a new summer series journeying through the book of Joshua teaching on the theme of making the promises of God a reality in your life.
Every day we pass by signs that tell us where to go, what to do, and when to do it. To me, the most frustrating sign is the DETOUR. You know where you need to turn, but the road is closed and you’re forced to take an alternate route. Often, you find yourself on a road that is unfamiliar.
One of the chief reasons why we lose passion is a loss of purpose. Aimless, directional confusion, abrupt ends all lend itself to a lack of focus. Everyone ends up somewhere, but only a few end up somewhere on purpose. Pastor Rick addresses how to re:Fresh your life encounter with God by renewing and reviewing life’s purpose.
Dry, thirsty, parched, scorched, empty. Are you dealing with the loss of spiritual passion? Has the passion of living for God left you, your passion for life, your passion of love, your passion for God? How do we restore what once was? Today, Pastor Rick talks about Re: Freshing your spiritual passion from the Lord.
In the heart of God is the nature to give. God gave creation, life, and His own Son. Perhaps there is no better way to imitate God than to be generous givers. Pastor Rick concludes the Momentum series today by reminding us of three biblical principles of generosity; the Heart of First, the Heart of Treasure, and the Grace of Giving.
When I was small and unwilling to share, my father would say to me, “There was a man they said was mad. The more he gave away, the more he had.” I’m still challenged and tempted to doubt the truth of it. Now officially in a recession, our minds are on Wall Street. Whether we have money in stocks or not, there is concern. Some have invested in an Individual Retirement Account. Rather than an IRA, consider an IEA. Namely, an Individual Eternal Account. It’s a kind of spiritual investing; having a portfolio that is eternal; becoming the kind of individual who is as mad as the gentlemen in the story above.
